Sunday Sunburn and Great Quote

Ran into uni on Sunday and then a further 12 km to total 22km for my long run, but I forgot to put sunscreen on and I got a bit burnt on my shoulders. Ran home last night too. It's pretty hot in Adelaide for the last week or so and I've certainly been sweating it out during most of my runs. Haven't really got any speed sessions in yet other than putting in some faster efforts during my 10 km runs to or from work.

Got an email newsletter about the 2006 Southern Charity Challenge which is the event that I went in last year with RunCarly. I think this year we might go separately in the half marathon instead of walking the 60 km together. We just won't have time to get out on any long walks this year. Anyway, at the bottom of the newsletter was this quote which I thought was quite inspirational.

"No one in the world can change truth. What we can and should do is seek truth and serve it when we have found it. The real conflict is within. Beyond the armies of occupation and of the extermination camps, two irreconcilable armies lie in the depth of every soul. And of what use are the victories of the battlefield if we are defeated in our innermost selves?"Maximilian Kolbe, The Real Conflict

Very inspiration quote Dave. Thanks.
